Our Story

You Framed It was born out of a simple frustration: finding the perfect custom frame shouldn’t mean driving across town, waiting in line at a shop, and hoping for the best weeks later.

From Montreal, we built a live configurator that shows your actual photo in your chosen frame — before you place your order. What you see is what you get.

Handcrafted to Order

Every frame is assembled by hand, made specifically for your order. No pre-made sizes, no warehouse stock. You pick the moulding, dimensions, matting, glazing — and we build it just for you.

That’s also why we don’t offer standard returns: every frame is one of a kind. However, if any part arrives damaged or defective, we’ll replace it — no questions asked. We replace only the affected piece, so you don’t need to ship the whole frame back.

Why Acrylic Instead of Glass?

We use museum-quality acrylic glazing for all residential orders. Here’s why:

• Shatter-proof — no broken glass on delivery or if it falls off the wall
• Lightweight — up to 50% lighter than glass, ideal for large formats
• UV protection — blocks the rays that fade and yellow your photos
• Crystal clear — clarity that rivals glass, without the risks

Glass glazing is available for wholesale and business clients upon request.

Eco-Conscious by Design

Our approach is built to reduce waste at every step:

• Replace, don’t return — if something’s defective, we ship the replacement part instead of having you return the whole frame. Less shipping, less waste.
• Zero overproduction — every frame is made to order, never in surplus
• Acrylic = lighter shipping — lighter than glass means lower emissions in transit
